Strolling on the Grand Parcours
SIn the part between Rivesaltais, Agly valley and Fenouillèdes, you cross stretches of renowned vineyards, watched over by the cliffs of Corbières and its famous sentinels, such as the Château de Quéribus, in Maury.
Halfway, at St Paul de Fenouillet, these cliffs open to the north towards the listed natural site ofs Galamus gorges and the St Antoine hermitage. On the Aude part, many surprises are in store for you with its forests, the fortress of Puilaurens, which you admire from the Lapradelle viaduct, or the panoramic approach to Axat via enchanting tunnels and its impressive viaduct, with breathtaking views of the St Georges Gorges.
Between Axat and St Martin-Lys station, the train offers a game of hide and seek with the Aude river and its rapids…
Then we stretch our legs on the rail bike
on the Radeliers or Bucherons route

The Radeliers:Short circuit approximately 45 minutes, downstream from Axat along the Aude. The works follow one another, gallery, bridges and tunnels, along the river on which the wood was formerly transported. Precipitated into the water, the logs were then assembled in the form of rafts. They were conveyed by rafters, or carassivers, from St Martin Lys, Quillan and Espéraza.
Descend slowly, spotting the retaining structures overhead and the wildflowers growing on the cliffside. Greet the whitewater athletes when you see them!

The Lumberjacks:The Bûcherons route (4.4 km) leaves from Axat Station to Col Campérié (direction Lapradelle) where the arrival platform is located. The longest circuit of the two, approximately 1h30min which allows you to reach the national forest upstream of Axat. Take on the big curve overlooking the village: breathtaking view from the viaduct above the Aude. Cross the three tunnels and the Crémade viaduct to the forest stop.
